Lola Peters, LMHC
Lola has a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Iowa State University and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She has completed Healthy Congregations and Mediation For Church Congregations training with the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center. Lola has led workshops on leadership development and conflict management training. She has also led personal development classes, communication skills training, empathic listening training for elders and deacons, and marriage enrichment. She does pulpit supply.
Lola is a long time member of Ankeny Presbyterian Church where she has served in many capacities including Elder, and Deacon. She has been a General Assembly delegate, chair of the Presbytery Sexual Misconduct Response Team, and served on the Calvin Community Board. She has been a national officer in Presbyterian Mariners.
She is married with two children and six grandchildren.
In addition to the Healthy Congregations Workshop, Lola leads workshops on Conflict Response Training, Listening and Communication Skills , and How to Stay Calm and Better Manage Your Emotions. Lola is available to do workshops or training for your church.
